The 2019 Toyota Camry is a midsize sedan that impresses buyers at dealerships like the Eagle area Toyota dealer, thanks to its comfortable ride, fuel-efficient engines, excellent handling and sporty styling. The 2019 Camry seats five and is offered in five trim levels, listed as L, LE, SE, XSE and XLE. Additionally, there’s a hybrid model, which we aren’t covering in this review. The 2019 Toyota Camry is powered by a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 203 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque. (On the XSE trim, this engine makes 206 hp and 186 lb.-ft. of torque). Optional for the XLR and XSE trims is a 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 301 hp and 267 lb.-ft. of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard on both engines.
Fuel economy is outstanding. According to Toyota dealer serving Eagle, the Camry with the four-cylinder powerplant returns an EPA-estimated 28 mpg city/39 mpg highway on all trims except the L, which gets 29 mpg city/41 mpg highway.* The V6 engine checks in with 22 mpg city/33 mpg highway for the XLE trim and 22 mpg city/32 mpg highway for the XSE.

The driver and passengers will stay comfortable inside the Camry’s spacious cabin, which features ample headroom and legroom. The high-quality interior makes use of soft-touch materials, and the occupants will find the cabin to be surprisingly quiet. The controls are user-friendly and logically placed.
The base L trim includes six-way-manually adjustable front seats and Toyota’s TSS-P collection of safety and driver-assist features. The standard infotainment system comes with a rearview camera, a stereo system with six speakers, Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, and USB and auxiliary inputs. The LE trim comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, a power driver’s seat, 60/40-split folding rear seats and an alarm system. The SE trim has sportier styling, 18-inch wheels, sport front seats, paddle shifters and a sport-tuned suspension. The XSE and XLE trims get leather seats, a panoramic moonroof, climate control with two zones, selectable drive modes, an 8-inch touchscreen, a 7-inch instrument display and blind-spot monitoring. Available features include a head-up display, a JBL premium stereo system with navigation, wireless phone-charging and a bird’s-eye camera.
