Toyota Dealer Serving Middleton
The 2019 Toyota Highlander has morphed over the years from a midsize SUV into a larger model that’s now close to being a full-size crossover SUV. The Highlander received a major refresh a few years ago, and the 2019 Highlander you’ll find today at a dealership like this Toyota dealer serving Middleton has had further cosmetic updates. The third-generation has been with us since late 2013, but it looks like a model that’s just been launched.
According to the Toyota dealer near Middleton, the 2019 Toyota Highlander is available in five different trim levels: LE, LE Plus, XLE, SE and Limited. Here’s what you can expect from each one.
Under the hood of the Highlander LE is a 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine producing 185 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels. If buyers prefer, this engine can be upgraded to a more powerful 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 295 hp and 263 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is an available option for the LE. Key standard features include a 4.2-inch LCD screen in the gauge cluster, a rearview camera, a power driver’s seat, a 6.1-inch touchscreen for infotainment with Bluetooth connectivity, 18-inch alloy wheels and seating for up to eight people.
The 3.5-liter V6 engine is standard on the LE Plus and higher trims, but it comes connected to a Direct-Shift eight-speed automatic transmission. On the outside, the LE Plus gains integrated fog lights and a height-adjustable power liftgate with jam protection. On the inside, this model gets a more advanced infotainment system with a larger 8-inch high-resolution touchscreen display, tri-zone climate control and an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat.
XLE models come standard with a power moonroof, 18-inch turbine-look alloy wheels, a 4.2-inch color LCD multi-information display with turn-by-turn navigation, leather-trimmed seats that are heated in the front, Smart Key with Push Button Start and Driver Easy Speak.
The SE trim adds a set of 19-inch multi-spoke machined alloy wheels with a black finish, dark-painted roof rails, sport-tuned suspension, integrated black LED fog lights, LED black sport accent taillights and stop lights, and projector-beam halogen dark-black-accent headlights and LED daytime running lights. There’s a more luxurious feel to the cabin with soft-touch upper door trim with technical pattern accent, black leather-trimmed seats with unique ribbon inserts and red stitching, and blue LED ambient lighting.
The 2019 Toyota Highlander Limited looks and feels a lot like a more expensive luxury SUV. On the outside, there are 19-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, rear parking assist, integrated chrome LED fog lights and color-keyed heated power outside mirrors with turn signal indicators and puddle lights. Inside the Limited, buyers get standard perforated heated and ventilated leather-trimmed front seats with memory function on the driver’s seat, and a four-way power-adjustable front passenger seat. The Limited also increases the impressive list of standard features found in all version of the Highlander with the inclusion of blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
