Tundra buyers can choose between two V8 engines. The Tundra’s 4.6-liter V8 engine develops 310 horsepower and 327 lb.-ft. of torque. There’s also a 5.7-liter V8 that generates 381 hp and 401 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The 5.7-liter engine comes with a tow/haul setting that lets the driver select the appropriate transmission setting, depending on whether the Tundra is being used for towing or hauling.
The official EPA numbers aren’t in yet, but since the engines are the same as last year’s, we expect fuel economy to match that of the 2018 Tundra.
