2020 Toyota 4Runner Trim Levels
Buyers looking for a midsize SUV that’s rugged enough to tackle the toughest off-roading trails, yet still delivers an outstanding driving experience on the road will want to take a look at the 2020 Toyota 4Runner. The 2020 4Runner seats five passengers. However, buyers can choose an available third row that increases seating capacity to seven. While the 4Runner has been a popular model at the Toyota dealer serving Meridian for many years, the 2020 4Runner is poised to win even more fans, thanks to a host of new features.
4Runner Trim Levels
The 4Runner is offered in five trim levels at dealerships like the Toyota dealer serving the Meridian area: SR5, SR5 Premium, Venture, TRD Off-Road, TRD Off-Road Premium, TRD Pro, Limited and Limited Nightshade. All trims are powered by a 4.0-liter V6 engine that puts out 270 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque, mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the base SR5 model, and all-wheel-drive models come with low-range gearing.
We’ll examine the 2020 Toyota 4Runner trim levels and see what makes each one unique.
The SR5 may be the base model, but it still comes with a long list of features, including Toyota Safety Sense P, a suite of safety features that includes lane departure warning, a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control and automatic high beams. Other standard features include fog lights, skid plates, a power-sliding rear window, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 120-volt power outlet in the cargo area. The SR5 and Limited trims are offered with two-wheel drive and seating for up to seven passengers. The other models get four-wheel drive and seat five passengers.
4Runner TRD Off-Road
The TRD Off-Road trim gets Multi-Terrain Select off-road settings, a locking rear differential and crawl control. Buyers can choose the available Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System, which uses hydraulics to adjust stabilizer bars and lean resistance automatically. The Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System will limit body lean when on the highway or at standard road speeds. When driving at slower speeds on the trail, the suspension softens to provide more wheel articulation.
4Runner SR5 Premium and 4Runner TRD Off-Road Premium
Move up to the XLE trim and you’ll get second-row captain’s chairs that reduce seating from eight to seven passengers. Standard features include heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, a sunroof, a 7-inch display in the gauge cluster, roof rails and Qi-compatible wireless device charging. Buyers can elect to get the available second-row bench seat and a navigation system.
The Venture trim starts with the features of the TRD Off-Road Premium and adds dark gray TRD wheels, an exclusive Yakima roof rack and black exterior accents.
4Runner TRD Pro
The TRD Pro trim is ideal for serious off-roaders. This model gets the features of the TRD Off-Road Premium and adds all-terrain tires, Fox dampers with internal bypass rear remote reservoirs, revised front springs and a unique front skid plate. Also standard are a JBL audio system with 15 speakers and a sunroof.
The Limited trim features luxurious amenities, including an exclusive four-wheel-drive system and suspension designed with comfort in mind. Standard features include leather seats, dual-zone climate control, and keyless entry and ignition.
4Runner Limited Nightshade Edition
The Limited Nightshade Edition comes with the Limited’s features, with the addition of black exterior accents that replace the Limited’s chrome and silver trim.
