The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander is a larger, more modern alternative to the regular Highlander. Brand-new for 2024, the Grand Highlander is more than just a stretched version of the Toyota Highlander. Unlike the Chevrolet Suburban, which is an extended Tahoe, the Grand Highlander is built on a unique platform and boasts distinctive styling. This approach allows it to leverage the well-established Highlander name while offering a fresh take in the midsize SUV segment to customers at dealerships like the Kuna Toyota dealer.
The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander is offered in three trim levels, listed as XLE, Limited, and Platinum. All models are powered by a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 265 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on the XLE and Limited. According to the Kuna Toyota dealership, these trims get available all-wheel drive, which is standard on the Platinum. 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander XLE
The Toyota Grand Highlander XLE trim includes standard features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, heated mirrors, roof rails, a power liftgate, and keyless entry and ignition. Inside, it offers tri-zone automatic climate control, heated and power-adjustable front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, synthetic leather upholstery, and second-row sunshades. The technology suite includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad. Safety features in the standard Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite include a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, frontal collision warning, and a lane-keeping system.
2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Limited
The Toyota Grand Highlander Limited trim builds upon the features of the XLE with 20-inch wheels, power-folding mirrors, automatic wipers, and a hands-free liftgate. Inside, it features ambient interior lighting, a fully digital instrument panel, ventilated front seats with memory settings, heated second-row seats, leather upholstery for the first two rows, and a heated steering wheel. The audio experience is enhanced with an 11-speaker JBL audio system. Safety is augmented with front and rear parking sensors, front and rear automatic braking, and an optional 360-degree parking camera. Both the XLE and Limited trims can be equipped with a panoramic sunroof.
2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Platinum
The top-spec Toyota Grand Highlander Platinum trim includes all the features of the lower trims, plus some premium additions. It comes with ventilated second-row seats for enhanced comfort and Toyota’s Traffic Jam Assist, enabling hands-free driving under certain highway conditions. The Platinum trim also features a head-up display, projecting essential information onto the windshield within the driver’s line of sight. Additionally, it comes with a digital rearview mirror, which is particularly useful for visibility when the cargo area is fully loaded.
