Buyers can get the 2025 Tacoma in one of eight trim levels: SR, SR5, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, Trailhunter, and TRD Pro. The two-door XtraCab setup is standard, seating four. The Double Cab adds rear doors and space for five passengers.

2025 Toyota Tacoma SR5
The SR5 upgrades to a more powerful four-cylinder engine that puts out 278 hp and 317 lb-ft (270 hp and 310 lb-ft with the six-speed manual) and rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels. The bed gains adjustable tie-down cleats mounted to side rails, while crew cab models switch to a smoother-riding coil-spring rear suspension. Additional features include keyless entry for all doors and blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert.
2025 Toyota Tacoma TRD PreRunner
Targeting high-speed desert running, the TRD PreRunner adds a lifted front suspension, dark gray 17-inch alloys, and underbody protection for the fuel tank. Off-road capability improves with a locking rear differential. Inside, the PreRunner steps up to a digital instrument panel, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and automatic climate control.

The TRD Sport trades the PreRunner’s dirt-focused equipment for street performance, riding on larger 18-inch wheels and a coil-spring rear suspension with TRD-tuned dampers for sharper handling. The Sport also adds LED bed lighting and upgrades to a six-speaker audio system.
2025 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road
Built for trail duty, the TRD Off-Road comes standard with four-wheel drive and runs on 17-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. Off-road hardware includes Bilstein remote-reservoir dampers and comprehensive underbody protection, with skidplates guarding the engine, transfer case, and fuel tank.

The Limited trim loads up nearly every available feature, rolling on 18-inch chrome wheels and adding convenience items like a sunroof, power running boards, and a power tailgate. 2025 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter
